Emergency Operations Centers representatives meet to plan for an ASF outbreak

The Canadian Pork Council organized a meeting of the provincial/regional Emergency Operation Centers on November 25 and 26 in Gatineau, QC, where key people at the federal, provincial and industry level gathered for a day and a half workshop.

The 45 participants had an overview of what each region is doing in African swine fever preparedness, planning, response and recovery, and learn about the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s work on zoning and communications. The CPC will prepare a report of the meeting and aims to continue facilitating this collaboration.
