Animal Care

The Canadian Pork Council recently released its Animal Care Assessment (ACA) tool.

It consists of an educational resource and a set of measurable points that establish animal care program requirements for hog producers, the first of its kind in Canada for animal care.

The Animal Care Assessment tool was reviewed, and its implementation supported, by the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies, the Canadian Meat Council, the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors, and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association .
